Following our principles of creating value, innovating for the future and creating trusts, our project department takes a fundamental role for the needs of Rafaela Mining, in search of new opportunities for growth and a sustainable beneficiation.

Actually, there are two major projects under development and other four in engineering evaluation.

Oxide Processing

One of the potential of existing resources in the vicinity of Rafaela Mine surfice and that today is not being exploited, is copper oxide mineralization on the deposit, being now on a state measured and inferred resources. From the surface, the copper oxide mineralization is up to 70 and 80 meters deep, with grades varying but low overburden around.

These new resources have triggered the need for testing different leaching to recover copper-rich water, which is now being evaluated for their recovery and marketing potential.
